Archos G9 80 and 101: two tablets low cost with Android - Archos G9 launches , its new generation of tablet. The French manufacturer has introduced two new devices: the ' Archos G9 80 has an 8-inch display while the ' G9 Archos 101 has a screen that "grows" up to 10.1 inches. Contains the introductory prices, very low cost : the smaller of the pair is expected to cost 259 euro while the largest will be available in two versions: the first, Archos G9 116 GB of memory, will cost 299 euros while the second, with an internal hard drive 250 GB, arrives in three $ 99 .
The main strength of the two tablets with Android Archos is the price, no doubt content. But there's something else that could affect a lot the fans, ie the possibility to choose a device with a real Hard Disk 250 GB , the first fruits of a mobile device, an alternative to classic 16 GB flash memory.
As for the rest of the sheet, the two tablets have similar characteristics, from the operating system, which will Honeycomb Android 3.1 in both cases. Also equal the processor, a Dual Core 1.5 GHz made by Texas Instruments. Another element accumunate them: these devices WiFi Only . To get the 3G connection, in fact, you have to buy a small USB modem to be attached to the device.
What changes is the display and, therefore, resolution. The ' Archos G9 80 , the 8-inch has a resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels, while the ' G9 Archos 101 has a higher resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The set of connectivity, however, is the same in both cases: WiFi support, of course, Bluetooth, GPS, HDMI and, as anticipated, a standard USB port.
